Seiko Catalog is an independent, unofficial reference app. This page explains what data the app handles and how.

Browsing the catalog

Browsing, searching, and viewing watches works entirely on-device using data bundled with the app or downloaded from our server. This doesn't require an account and involves no personal information.

If you create an account

Creating an account is optional. If you do, we store:

• Your username and a securely hashed password (never the password itself)
• Your favorited watches (Owned or Wishlist), and, for Owned watches, the price you paid and the retail price, so this data can sync across your devices
• Your chosen display currency

This data is used only to sync your favorites and settings between your own devices. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.

What stays on your device only

Some details are never uploaded anywhere, even with an account:

• Your wrist size (used only to show a fit hint)
• Personal notes about your own watches -- condition, purchase location, serial number, and any free-text notes
• Any photo you add of your own physical watch

Analytics and advertising

This app contains no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (when account features are enabled) or by emailing leemurrayking@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your stored username, password hash, favorites, and settings from our server. Data that only ever lived on your device (wrist size, personal notes, your own photos) is removed by deleting the app.
